Alison has extensive derivatives experience as well as a wealth of experience of a more general nature gained over the years in the investment banking industry.
Alison graduated from Queens University, Belfast in 1991 with an honours degree in law before relocating to England to join Clifford Chance as a trainee solicitor and in September 1994 was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.
She joined the legal department of Credit Suisse Financial Products in August 1996 as derivatives counsel and then relocated to Hong Kong in July 1997, joining Warburg Dillon Read (later UBS) as derivative counsel located on the equity derivatives desk. Alison was admitted to the High Court of Hong Kong in March 1998 as a non-practising solicitor and then joined the legal department of Merrill Lynch in October that year as derivatives counsel. She then relocated to Merrill Lynch, Singapore in October 1999 as derivatives counsel and Head of Legal for Singapore and subsequently became Director and Head of Legal for South East Asia.
Following her return to the UK in 2003 Alison acted as General Counsel to fund manager Cologico Capital LLP before setting up DLC.
